Now THAT'S a Debate

Noam Chomsky on William F. Buckley's "The Firing Line" in 1969. The video quality is pretty poor, but it is the only copy of the complete show I could find.

Greewald Nails It (again)

Glenn Greenwald hits the nail on the head (again) with his latest post on Salon.com. In his typically verbose fashion he spells out just how narrow the debate about Iraq has been. If you can't bring yourself to slog through his entire post, at least take 15 minute and watch the clip from the Charlie Rose show and listen to what a couple actual Iraqis think about the US presence in their country.

UPDATE:
Here's the full Charlie Rose show if you have an hour to kill.

Hillary WAS Under Fire in Bosnia

Over a year. Oi Vey!

It's not that there hasn't been anything to type about. It's because I'm a lazy SOB who always seems to find something else to do. A lot has happened in a year, and it will take more than one post to catch up. I'm currently at work an not in a position to take on that task right now. While you are waiting for something of substance from me, may I recommend you listen to something of substance from, amazingly enough, a politician.
